At 00:06 hours, Squad 71 along with Boat 7-1-2 were dispatched to West Hempfield Township in the area of the Rt. 30 bridge for a water rescue. Squad 71 and Boat 7-1-2 went enroute with 3 personnel.  The crew from 71 arrived and was instructed by Command 76 (Deputy Ney) to put the boat in the water and assume the RIT.  After acting as RIT for the beginning of the call, Boat 7-1-2 was instructed to search the Lancaster County shore and check the banks of the islands on the river for the missing subject.  With nothing found by all crews operating, Command 76 placed all units available.  Squad 71 and Boat 7-1-2 were available at 03:24 hours.
